CQC Care Signal

New care homes and homecare agencies in England, weekly

Care homes, homecare agencies and supported living services, the week the CQC registers them. Every row names 3.1 decision makers on average — the manager who runs the service, the individual legally accountable for it, and the owner with their shareholding — each with a role, and a verified phone on every row.

Why it works

What the register does not give you

CQC publishes the register in full. It does not publish what changed, and it holds no email addresses.

1

The diff

The register ships as a monthly spreadsheet of 57,000 rows with no changed-since column. We hold the history, so we can say which 93 a month are new.

2

The people, not just a name

The register names one person per location. We add the operator's nominated individual and, from Companies House, the directors and the shareholders with the percentage each controls — 3.1 named people per row, 52% of rows with three or more. Rows with nobody named are dropped.

3

Verified new, not just newly registered

A fresh registration date is not proof of a new service. Of the last 500, 178 were the same service re-registering after an ownership change, a group restructure or a move, and 21 could not be told apart. All were dropped. Phones are checked as live lines, emails are SMTP-verified, and the operating company is checked as active at Companies House.

How it works

We diff the register so you don't have to

1

CQC approves a service

No care service can legally operate in England until it is registered. Registration is the moment it becomes real.

2

We spot the change

We hold the full register and check it against CQC's change feed every day, so a new registration surfaces within days, not at the next monthly publication.

3

We attach the details

Registered manager, phone number, operating company and its Companies House number, bed count, service type and exact location.

4

You get it weekly

One email, every week, with everything registered since the last one. Spreadsheet attached, ready to work.

Real rows

The six most recent, exactly as you would receive them

Straight out of the live feed, nothing tidied up for the website. Ordered by registration date, not by which rows look best.

Verified new, last three months

May to July 2026. Solid is what ships; the faded remainder is registrations we read and dropped because the service already existed. June is taller because two care-home groups moved their estates in the same week — which is exactly the kind of month that would otherwise be sold to you as ninety new openings.

What this is not

England only. The CQC regulates England. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have their own regulators and are not in this feed.

Three names does not mean three mailboxes. Rows carry 3.1 named people on average and 52% carry three or more, but a named person's own verified address appears on 37% of rows. Small care operators mostly run one shared inbox. Every name still comes with the role they hold and, through the operator, a verified phone.

Email is on 60% of rows, not all of them. The register holds no email addresses. Ours are derived from the operator's own domain and SMTP-verified before they ship; unverified guesses are dropped. On 19% of rows the mailbox belongs to the named manager, on the rest it is a shared or head-office inbox, and the row says which.

The named person and the phone can be two different people. Each location has its own registered manager; the email contact is often at operator level. Both names are on the row, with the role each one holds.

No LinkedIn profiles. There is no free register that links a care operator's directors to their profiles, and the paid tools that claim to cover owner-run care businesses do not. We would rather leave the column out than fill it with guesses.

Not every new registration is a new service. When a home changes owner it re-registers with a new CQC record and a new date. We read every row against CQC's deregistration file and its inherited-rating flag, and drop the ones that are the same service carrying on. That is why the count here is lower than the raw register.

Not closures. This is new registrations only. Deregistrations come from a separate monthly CQC file and are not included today.

The source is free. CQC publishes this register publicly and you are welcome to work it yourself — it is a 57,000-row spreadsheet with no changed-since column. What you are paying for is the diff, the enrichment and it landing in your inbox every week.

Who buys this

Anyone who sells to a care service in its first year

R

Care recruiters

A new service has to fill a full rota before it can take residents, and keeps hiring after. You get the manager's name and number the week they register.

T

Trainers & compliance

Mandatory training, policies and audit systems all have to be in place from day one, and nothing is contracted yet.

S

Suppliers & software

Rostering, care planning, PPE, laundry, catering, insurance. Bed counts tell you how big the job is before you dial.
